Why hello there! Yes it is nice to see you back here, even after I so rudely dropped off the face of the earth and I left your days so lonely without having to look forward to reading my wonderful blog posts (please just let me have this moment).
Why was I gone do you ask? Well I was just saving earth from what could have been the end of our world, as we know it!
No! I’m just kidding! I just have had so much, and I mean soooooooo much stuff to do, and well lets face it I was lazy and decided I needed a break from writing. So what did I do? I wrote a book, well sort of. You see I had this brilliant plan to enter in a competition called NaNoWriMo, and the mission was to write 50,000 words in the month of November. Yeah, I only wrote about 30,000. Yes, it is a start.
What else is new….
I went to Utah for thanksgiving with my cousin and her family. It was SO much fun! But sadly I do not have any pictures right now because they are all on my camera and I can’t get them on the computer. I went snowboarding while I was there, and it was probably the best place I have ever went snowboarding. It was snowing and freezing while I was snowboarding so my entire body was numb, but I still had a great time.
The most recent amazing thing that happened to me was that…
I found out who my host family is and where I will be living when I go to England! I will be living in a historic medieval market town of Lichfield in south Staffordshire in central England. In the home, are a mother and her son who is 18 and their dog Daisy. I am not sure what the name of my school is but I am told is very close to my home. I am so very excited that finally it is all coming together.
If the generous Christmas feeling has infected you, please feel free to donate to help send me to England. Every penny counts (literally).
Well, have a great day! I have finals and about a billion essays to write, oh how I love school.
Update* WOW I just realized I only have about 3 weeks before I leave for England…Bring on the panic attack.
Update** I just found out what school I will be going to, its Nether Stowe School Specialist Mathematics and Computing College. I will be in the sixth form (or for you Americans I will be in the grade equivalent to a senior). The school sounds very exciting (wow, I did not just put exciting and school in the same sentence!) I have to wear business like clothing and NO jeans! I don’t think I will be able to sleep until I leave!
